RAMAKRISHNA ANANDA

Learning How to Roar

How best to bring Spirit into your daily life

Jnana (wisdom) yoga and bhakti (devotional) yoga offer the seeker many different practices to move forward spiritually. Jnanis release the dominance of the senses, thoughts, feelings and ego to contact the soul. This practice can free one from ignorance of Spirit in preparation for enlightenment.

Bhakti yoga teaches that Spirit is manifesting the universe and all living beings, including you and me. All yoga practices are meant to enrich life significantly. See which work best for you.

Online Seminars
  • When the third chakra (the energy center inside the spine, back of the navel) is activated, it expresses confidence, oneness, strength, hope and courage
  • Chanting Om in the third chakra can awaken a flow of strength, energy and empowerment
  • By chanting mantras or some favorite verses from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible or the Koran, for example, one welcomes greater spiritual awareness
  • Two high yoga mantras are: Chinmoy Dham, Chinmoy Hum (This place is spiritual energy and I am spiritual energy) and Asato Ma Sat Gamayo (Lead me from the unreal to the real)
  • Both jnana and bhakti yoga practices lead to spiritual enlightenment
  • When you are blessed with spiritual sight, you see the primary reality — that all is Spirit

Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga

According to Vedanta (jnana yoga), the world is a framework of illusion — like a dream. The practice of viewing the world as a dream prepares your consciousness for higher spiritual realization. When you are enlightened, you see that all is Spirit. You think:  How did I miss all of this? I must have been dreaming. I must have been in some kind of illusion or sleep. When we ignore the reality and presence of Spirit, we are living in maya.

Bhaktas view the world as a divine creation where love flows between the devotee and God. Through developing spiritual sight, all seekers ultimately discover it is the Lord that is manifesting the universe and all living beings.
