Projection Techniques — Part 2

Can projection help you grow spiritually?

The ability to project helps us realize we are distinct from the body. Through practice, we grow in this skill. In the beginning stage one has a sensation of floating on a breeze of light and bliss. Becoming good at projecting helps us experience higher devotional and meditative states. Projection makes the body more vital and healthy, clears the mind, and also fills one with energy.

Higher Yogas Classes

Take Off Like a Plane

Prepare to project your energy body by first striving to feel an abundance of energy throughout your whole being — from your toes to your head.

Then, choose a point far away from your location. Feel as if you are a plane about to take off. The idea is to move through your location into space. When you are ready, take off. Go through your area and keep going. Sense the vitality of the whole body moving easily out there. Enjoy the invigorating sense of floating and lightness.

  • The body needs to be relaxed and energized in order to project
  • Becoming good at projection helps you experience concentration, contemplation and continuation (samadhi, spiritual absorption)
  • Projection is an early level of spiritual awareness
  • Through projection, the whole body becomes full of energy and vitality
  • One first sign of projection is feeling a movement of your energy floating out into space

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
