Five Energy Flows for Well Being

Qigong describes five energy flows which can influence our health and well being. Each of the major internal organs which we count on for life can be damaged by emotional excess.

Emotions which can shorten our life are anxiety, sorrow, fear, anger, excitability, rumination and over-empathy. These negative emotions, when excessive, preoccupy our mind, harm our internal organs and disturb the flow of the life force. Chinese yoga counteracts these negative flows by teaching practices to promote healing.

  • There are five energy influences which affect the flow of our life force, health and well being
  • Emotional excess can damage each of the major internal organs
  • Detrimental emotions which cause injury:  anxiety, sorrow, fear, anger, excitability, rumination and excessive attachment           
  • Anxiety and sorrow can damage the lungs
  • Corresponding energy healings can restore energy flows and improve our well being
