The motives behind our actions are a main factor in our happiness. They serve as a primary indicator of the state of our hearts. Yogis use two tools to understand and refine their motives. Discover how upgrading your motives leads to peace, love and joy.

Upgrade Your Motives

Your motives reveal the desires of your heart and what is most important to you. They usually reveal your view of yourself, who you think you are. They also reveal your progress on the spiritual path. Examine your motives and think about them. As you upgrade them, you will find renewed peace, comfort, fulfillment, love and joy.

  • Motives are a main factor in whether one lives a life of happiness
  • Sri Yukteswar (The Holy Science) describes the stages of the heart. Each stage is a progression to a higher and higher motive
  • Motives are indicators of the condition of one’s heart and ego
  • As we upgrade our motives, we find that peace, comfort, fulfillment, love and joy increase

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
