Yoga is oneness, wholeness. By relaxing the body and calming the mind, we find a growing sense of oneness. As we do the yoga practices in this video, we can go beyond the senses and mind to discover that we are all part of one vast substance. Find out how you can awaken spiritually and experience oneness.
Identify where you wish to apply will power. For example, choose a negative habit you want to change. Determine the opposite habit you would rather have. Now, put the energy-direct your will power-into the new, ideal habit.
Tapas is effort that changes us. If we want transformation, we need to invest the effort. By making sacrifices for our ideal and giving time and effort, we begin living a harmonious life. Find out how tapas and sacrifice not only enrich your yoga practice, but can bring heaven into daily life.
Yogis use the term asuras to mean the moods, thoughts, words and actions which distract and take us away from higher consciousness.
The easiest way to have self-realization is to know shakti (creative energy, life force). One of the most blessed ways to live your life and have a realization of shakti is to become sattvic (balanced) in your mind, thoughts and attitude.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
