Part three of our series focuses on the transformations which peace brings into our lives and also into the world. Pema Chödrön (Practicing Peace) writes that war and peace start in the hearts of individuals. Our personal transformations inevitably lead to greater peace in the world. We replace hatred with love and compassion.
This is the second video in the series on peace. Both yogis and Buddhists have identified a major factor which is crucial to our experience of peace. Yogis call it craving or attachment and Buddhists call it shenpa, the driving force behind our desires
Knowers and lovers of the Divine are happy people. They delight in attuning with the Lord — Spirit, Consciousness, Love and Joy. We can grow in our relationship with the Lord through the practice of yoga. Explore the stages of higher awareness which come as we walk the path. You can live a fulfilling, happy and joyful life as you relate to Spirit.
This concludes our series on peace. Peace expresses in the way you think, feel, speak and act. As you abide in peace, you can become an instrument and help further peace in the world.
Each worry, craving or fear which disturbs us can become a doorway through which we find peace. These concerns can become pathways to freedom, happiness and peace. Explore the way of the peacemaker as presented by Pema Chödrön (Practicing Peace). Instead of agitation or worry, you can live in peace. Becoming established in peace, you are a true benefit to humanity.
A yogi is one who continually lives in the harmony of body, mind and spirit. He/she has transcended the false sense of self (the ego) and is centered in the true self, the soul.
The yogic view is that the soul is your true personality. What we normally call personality is not our true self, not our essence. Explore suggestions from yoga and metaphysics about finding and living in your true personality.
Dedicated yoga practice leads to an awareness of the inner self. Learn the Hong Sau/So Hum method which helps still the breath and can bring kumbhaka (breath poise). As breath poise goes on and on, you become absorbed, experiencing the light of the true self.
We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.
This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
