Do You Feel Good About Yourself?

Three forces, called the gunas, can impact your life in a negative or positive way every day.  The force that improves your self-concept, health and happiness, sattvas guna, can open you to a life of harmony, balance and openness to spirit.

Your Motives — Why You Do What You Do

The motives behind our actions are a main factor in our happiness. They serve as a primary indicator of the state of our hearts. Yogis use two tools to understand and refine their motives. Discover how upgrading your motives leads to peace, love and joy.

The World is the Place of Tests

One of the definitions of yoga is skill in action. Yoga gives us tools to live happy, contented lives. However, we likely will also experience many challenges. Find out how you can turn these tests into opportunities to graduate into enlightenment.

Enlightenment

Discover how you can live every day centered in Spirit. There is a reality beyond what our normal minds can think and what our hearts can feel. This reality can be experienced and lived in. It’s what yogis call enlightenment — a state of light, of higher consciousness, that never goes away.

Do You Know All Ten?

In yoga we study the five yamas and niyamas (character traits) taught by Patanjali. While visiting a monastery in Hawaii, Ramakrishna Ananda learned five additional yamas and niyamas which he shares here. Discover how all ten yamas and niyamas will help you live connected with Spirit and open to receiving whatever you need — love, joy, abundance.

The Sannyas Motive

Sannyas is an attitude of renunciation, non-attachment to the material world, which greatly accelerates transformation. There are many opportunities to practice sannyas, the giving of yourself for the benefit of others, every day. Discover how a sannyas attitude frees the ego and enriches your life with love and ever-new joy.

Going Within — Pranayama and Pratyahara

Pranayama means control of the life force, usually by breathing practices. When our life force is harmonized and balanced through pranayama, we are more easily able to concentrate and experience interiorization or pratyahara during meditation. Pratyahara is the beginning of higher consciousness. Discover pranayams that will help you have deeper meditations and enjoy a more fulfilling life.

Getting Seated in the True Self

Meditation is designed to be a transforming practice which helps you experience your inner self and express its qualities. Learn out how going beyond your blockages and abiding in the light of your true self brings about transformation.

Transcending the Five Kinds of Ideas

Inside each of us is the potential to be a great yogi. Yogis discovered that there are five kinds of ideas which keep us from experiencing our true self. Discover how to go beyond the five kinds of ideas and live in the truth and joy of your inner self.

Shakti and Transformation

Shakti, conscious spiritual energy, is the power that enables us to perceive the truth, be transformed and free from ignorance. Transformations are the key to progress in yoga. Explore contemplations and meditation practices that help you become open to shakti moving and transforming your everyday life as well as making the shift from ego to realization of your true self.
